Description

Tiny Fantasy is an interesting, innovative casual roguelike shooter/ run-or-shoot mobile game. Among several unlikely features, the innovative one is that you might be followed by a bunch of supporting characters, attacking & casting their skills everywhere you go.

Unlike most similar games, Tiny Fantasy uses an actual, non-isometric 3d perspective. The graphics itself is a relatively simple 3d one, with one distinctive feature - chibi-style characters. Regardless if it's an armored knight, an old mage, or an archer - the head will take like 1/3 of size, with big eyes and not many other elements. Enemies are simple 3d monsters - like some spiders or plants - with occasional bosses like golems. The nice thing is the number of enemies visible at once - it could quickly grow to tens at a time, with new ones constantly appearing and some attacks hitting many. The environment isn't terribly detailed, but it's nice to see your hero running through surroundings that aren't so flat. Compared to such 3d quality, some UI elements look strikingly detailed - too bad you won't see those fine gear worn by heroes.

The core gameplay looks just like in any similar title - you're thrown on the map to fight a series of fights with a single control - either run or attack enemies. From time to time, you'll level up and get a chance to select a skill/boost from random selection. Additionally, attacking will earn you mana that can be used to cast some active skills unique to your hero.

As stated before, you won't walk there alone, surrounded by some "followers" - but that's not the only novelty here. In some places, you'll be able to kick plant-bombs toward enemies to deal free damage, while other times, it'll be possible to attack the enemy so hard it'll be pushed off the cliff. Overall, the game feels like a middle-ground between an Archero clone and aRPG - avoiding enemy skills, active dodging, etc.

Outside the battle, the Tiny Fantasy is focused on getting & boosting gears, followers - and your hero. Those 2 separate systems, together with hero types, bring tonnes of gameplay possibilities - you can be a brave warrior supported by archers or a powerful mage defended by loyal guards. The game is rather generous in giving you resources - for just playing, completing quests, or challenging one of the "special dungeons" for a specified prize.

As always, there are plenty of occasions to watch ads for rewards, but here, it seems somehow less cumbersome. Instead, you can just get one of the packages from the shop - and hope for a good draw.
